Together with Goetz Hootz Castorph we developed a concept for the structural guidance system of the Goethe Institute worldwide. Our design, featuring the Goethe range of corporate colors, works on two levels of communication: The first level is the informative level and actual guidance system, while the second level is purely emotional; it remains associative. This is the level of spatial islands and citations. In combining the two levels, visitors to the Institute become involved on an emotional level that goes beyond simply receiving information. The entire building enters into a dialog with the visitor – the typography thus becomes a medium of culture. (Not realized)
Thanks to the POSTER BLOCK, two-dimensional graphic design morphs into a three-dimensional seating sculpture. From the single bright POSTER BLOCK, individual posters can be torn off and taken away by visitors, by way of a temporary installation to go. Enhanced with the wood pallet, made in Asahikawa, POSTER BLOCK is a project in which two cultures come together.

A new modular booth concept (design: Markus Hartmann) was introduced in line with the two most visited trade fairs, Tendence and Ambiente. The architecture provides the perfect backdrop for the combination of graphic design and successful “product sculptures”.
Atelier Markgraph designed a showroom for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen as a satellite event to drupa – print media fair in Düsseldorf. Here a new design concept was tested for the first time before being used as a “corporate design kit” for all international showrooms. Nicola Ammon designed the corporate wall, a curtain and a range of ceiling banners.
Atelier Markgraph commissioned GARDENERS with the design of its trade fair stand in Paris. The challenging architectural concept opened up extraordinary spaces. The entire booth was the same width as a Smart car, was 50 m long and 5 m high. We also produced an array of various printed material and an information brochure.
